Ndiaye gets No.7 shirt at Manchester City

Iliman Ndiaye will wear the number seven shirt at Manchester City after joining the club from Everton on summer transfer deadline day, where he signed a five-year contract.

The 26-year-old Senegalese winger was the last of several deadline-day arrivals at City, following Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Monga, Gerónimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Allan and Enzo Fernández into Enzo Maresca's first-team squad.

Ndiaye takes on a shirt number with considerable history at the club. Past wearers include Raheem Sterling, Giorgi Kinkladze, Paul Dickov, Stephen Ireland, Mike Summerbee, Francis Lee and Neil Young.

More recently, the number seven was worn by Omar Marmoush before his loan move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Ndiaye has established himself as one of the Premier League's more dynamic attacking talents over the past few seasons and arrives at City as one of the more high-profile signings of the summer window.
