Martinelli leaves Arsenal for Al-Hilal after seven years

Gabriel Martinelli has left Arsenal for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal on a permanent deal after seven years and 278 appearances in north London.

Gabriel Martinelli has joined Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal on a permanent transfer, ending a seven-year spell at Arsenal.

The 25-year-old Brazilian winger arrived at Arsenal from Ituano in July 2019 and made 278 appearances in all competitions, scoring 62 goals.

Martinelli was part of the Arsenal squad that won the Premier League last season, as well as the FA Cup in 2020 and the FA Community Shield in 2023.

At international level, Martinelli earned 27 caps for Brazil. He won a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and represented his country at the 2024 Copa America and the 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cups.

The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
