Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto De Zerbi has left Dominic Solanke among the substitutes for Saturday's Premier League trip to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, citing fatigue after Monday's win over Coventry.

Solanke had started each of Tottenham's previous four league matches but played the full 90 minutes in the 3-1 victory over Coventry, where he also assisted Ben Davies' late goal to seal the points.

"He felt fatigue after the Coventry game," De Zerbi said ahead of the match in west London. "But also because I am lucky to have a big squad, many solutions, many different solutions in terms of characteristics and physical characteristics. I took this decision but the game is 90 minutes."

The Italian coach did not rule out introducing Solanke during the contest against Xabi Alonso's Chelsea side. The striker has made seven league appearances this season, contributing one goal and one assist.

Tottenham sit 17th in the Premier League table with six points from seven games as they look to improve their form on the road at Stamford Bridge.
