Brentford have received a positive fitness update on Josh Dasilva ahead of Sunday's Premier League trip to Brighton and Hove Albion. Head coach Keith Andrews said the midfielder is "a little bit closer" to a return.
Andrews was less optimistic about Antoni Milambo, who is unlikely to be available. "Probably not [available] just yet," Andrews said. Milambo has trained consistently over the past 10 days and completed a demanding session this week.
Yehor Yarmoliuk has finished his three-match suspension and is available for the game. Yarmoliuk and Dasilva both featured for Brentford B earlier this week, and Yarmoliuk scored in a 2-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers Under-21s. Andrews reported no fresh injury concerns after last weekend's 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. "Everyone's pretty good," he said.
Fábio Carvalho (knock) and Rico Henry (hip and quad) remain sidelined. Brentford sit sixth in the Premier League with 14 points from nine matches.
Brighton have made an impressive start to the season, and Andrews expects a real test at the Amex Stadium. "I think they're playing really, really well," he said. "The way they're organised in every facet of the game is very impressive."
Andrews added that Brentford will need to be at their best. "We'll need to bring our A game on Sunday to get the result that we want," he said. "We've got the tools to cause them problems, but we'll need to play very well."
