Chelsea's players on loan continued their development across Europe and the English football pyramid during October, with several making important contributions for their temporary clubs.
Dario Essugo started each of Strasbourg's three games in October, deployed in the centre of the Ligue 1 side's midfield. He scored the opening goal, his first for the club, in Strasbourg's 2-1 defeat to Nice, and played the full 90 minutes against European champions Paris Saint-Germain. Genesis Antwi and Filip Jorgensen also started all three games.
Ishe Samuels-Smith featured in five matches across League One and the EFL Trophy for Notts County. He completed the full 90 minutes in four of those appearances, including victories over Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest's Under-21s, and played at centre-back and on the left of midfield.
Harrison Murray-Campbell remains an important member of RC Kortrijk's defence in his first loan spell in senior football. The 20-year-old played in the games against Genk and Standard Liege, with Kortrijk earning a hard-fought point away from home in the latter.
Jesse Derry made his UEFA Champions League debut during Sporting Lisbon's 2-0 win away to Lens and provided an assist in their 2-1 victory over Maritimo in the Portuguese League Cup quarter-finals.
Kaiden Wilson has been an ever-present for Rochdale this season, with the highlight of his October a clean sheet in a battling 1-0 win over Swindon Town at the start of the month.
Seventeen-year-old Ryan Kavuma-McQueen featured in six Championship fixtures for Portsmouth during October. He claimed an assist in the 3-2 victory over Sheffield United as Pompey secured three important points.
Reggie Walsh featured in all six of Wigan Athletic's October League One fixtures. He provided an assist against Huddersfield and started both of the Latics' victories during the month, against Reading and Barrow.
Landon Emenalo made his senior debut in October as Celtic beat Hearts 7-1, and followed that up by featuring in the draw with Dundee United. Shumaira Mhueka was also involved in all three Scottish Premiership fixtures.
Dastan Satpayev returned to action during October after an injury that restricted his involvement in September. The 18-year-old made three appearances for Burnley, taking his total to seven since joining the Championship club on loan.
Mamadou Sarr started each of Real Sociedad's six fixtures in October, with four of those won, including three in La Liga. The victories lifted them to fifth in the table, and they also picked up their maiden Europa League win of the campaign, thrashing Lillestrom 6-0 away from home.
Axel Disasi returned from suspension and started Crystal Palace's Premier League games against Newcastle and Tottenham towards the end of the month. He also played the full 90 minutes in the Eagles' Europa League fixtures away to Lyon and Besiktas.
Benoit Badiashile started four matches for Napoli in central defence, including a Champions League defeat at Villarreal and a 3-3 draw with Roma. An injury sustained in that game has since ruled him out of Napoli's past two fixtures.
Robert Sanchez played twice for Como, starting their Champions League defeat to Feyenoord and a 3-1 Serie A victory over Torino.
Alejandro Garnacho came off the bench in four games for Aston Villa in October, including the Champions League wins at home to Fenerbahce and Viking Stavanger.
Ollie Harrison has firmly established himself in AFC Wimbledon's midfield, starting six of their seven appearances in October and accumulating more than 300 minutes. Dujuan Richards is currently sidelined through injury.
Kiano Dyer made five appearances for Chesterfield in League Two, who are currently in tenth place.
Ted Curd came into the Boreham Wood team at the start of October and played each of their five National League games, all of which were won, keeping two clean sheets. The club are already 12 points clear at the top of the table.
Max Merrick was in goal as Boreham Wood won a dramatic 4-3 game against Hartlepool at the weekend. It was the young keeper's second appearance of the month, following a 2-1 success against Hornchurch.
Hudson Sands continues to feature regularly in goal for Dulwich Hamlet in the Isthmian Premier League, making four appearances as the south London side sit just outside the play-off positions.
