Chelsea held a heritage event at Stamford Bridge ahead of Saturday's match against Manchester United, marking Remembrance Day with commemorations for those lost in conflict.
The event took place at the Tea Bar and was staged in collaboration with the Chelsea Heritage Partnership as part of the Those Were The Days series. Members of the club's Armed Forces Supporters Group and club legends were in attendance.
The programme centred on a match-fixing scandal from more than a century ago, during the First World War, in which Chelsea was the main victim of a plot involving Liverpool and Manchester United.
Club historian Rick Glanvill delivered an on-screen presentation reflecting on players and staff who made the ultimate sacrifice in the war. Video of iconic past matches against Manchester United was shown, and memorabilia from those games was on display alongside prized historical artefacts and photographs around the venue.
The club thanked the Chelsea Heritage Partnership for its work in organising the event.
