Ronald Araujo says Liverpool's recent form is encouraging but insists the team can still improve. The defender spoke to Liverpoolfc.com ahead of Sunday's home match against Premier League champions Arsenal.
Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties in midweek to reach the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, extending their winning run in all competitions to five matches. A sixth would come against Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
"There's no doubt we're in a good moment," Araujo said. "Personally, I'm convinced about the team that we have."
"We're in that development phase and it's great because that means that there is still room for improvement," he added.
Liverpool are fourth in the Premier League with 15 points from eight matches. Arsenal defeated Everton last weekend to move level on points with leaders Manchester City.
Araujo was named Carlsberg Player of the Match in the 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, where he made a header tackle that helped keep a clean sheet. Reflecting on the moment, he said: "Ultimately, it was just a solution. I'd thrown myself on the ground and I used my head."
