Elliot Anderson has been voted the Etihad Player of the Month for October, beating Erling Haaland and narrowly edging out team-mate Phil Foden in one of the closest fan votes in the award's history.
The England midfielder has been superb for Manchester City since his summer move from Nottingham Forest. Last month he was edged out of the vote by September winner Erling Haaland.
This month Anderson overtook the Norwegian striker, with the margin over Foden also narrow. The club described it as one of the closest fan votes it has ever run.
The club said the award is likely to be the first of many for the No. 5 this season and in seasons to come, and that it was thoroughly deserved. City also thanked the thousands of fans around the world who voted.
